We loved last year's dinner with Stephanie Izard and we were super pumped for
a night out of eating for a good cause.

The problem is, while
eating out has lost its Friday -
night glamour and corner booths have replaced the dining room, restaurants are still stuck on their legacy
of indulgence, serving enormous portions and spiking them with more and more fat, salt and sugar.
Constant traveling, long days and
nights,
eating out, and being exposed to nasty germs and rapidly changing temperatures during flights can put a tremendous amount
of stress on your body.

More than just beds to sleep on, they invited us to
eat dinner with them and drew us all sorts
of maps so we wouldn't get lost going

I'm conscious that most
of my friends and family never have to worry about every ingredient in their food and they can all go
out for late
nights eating, drinking and partying in a pretty carefree manner, whereas I have to pick and choose my moments, ask waiters never ending lists
of questions and pretty much always call it a
night a little earlier.
My children are trying to kill me -LCB- or

of indifferent -RCB-, people are disgustingly naked in the Summer, I purchased a Community Supported Agriculture -LCB- «CSA» -RCB- share and received my first vegetable share late last

of all murder charges.
I usually take one or two
out of the freezer at
night, put them in a little plastic container, and they're ready to grab and
eat by morning.
I know that seems like a small portion and when you look at that flat gnocchi package you're going to think it's possible to polish off the whole thing yourself, but shocking as this might sound we
ate this for two
nights, which means we got about 5 servings
out of the package (kids had a small portion).
Oh my gosh — I made these the other
night and almost
ate them all right when I took them
out of the oven — soooo gooood!!!
I cook more from scratch and seldomly go
out to
eat, my problem is I
eat to much
of what I cook and those late
night snacks are hard to resist.
That
night, A and I went
out for a glass
of wine and some
eats before he had Marine Corps work all weekend.
I don't
eat out, so lunch is constantly being prepped and honestly doing some
of the work the
night before or even over the weekend makes that so much easier!
A date
night involves way more than just heading
out to a restaurant and
eating together when you are the parents
of little kiddos.
So far so good, 10 mins
of prep the
night before means I get to
eat a good and filling breakfast rather than chugging a cup
of coffee and trying to grab a slice
of toast before we have to get
out the door.
You can pull them
out of the freezer the
night before or in the morning and
eat once thawed.
In fact, my 3 - year - old daughter is turning
out to be the pickiest eater
of all my offspring, and most
nights she refuses to
eat anything — and I mean anything — labeled «dinner.»

Made my first loaf last
night / today and when I pulled it
out of the oven I could not even get a picture or let it cool my husband and eleven year old daughter had

Our garden is overflowing with zucchini, and after

nights last week with dinner sauteed, added in sauces and cut into cold spears, it's time to bake.
Our Halloween festivities started on Saturday
night with a get - together at a friend's house where we drank jello shots

As a kid, I slathered it on saltines alongside chocolate milk during cartoon - drenched Saturday mornings; I
ate it in sandwiches for lunch throughout my teen years; once I acquired my own kitchen in which to experiment in my 20s, I packed it into celery hollows for snacks, baked it in cookies, muffins or the occasional Rice Krispie square; later, I
ate it straight
out of the jar for an immediate PMS pick - me - up, or after a late
night when I was too tired to cook.
No lie, Logan and I
ate the rest
of the ice cream straight
out of the tin while watching Wet Hot American Summer last
night (for the 10th time).
I just
ate the last
of the sunflower butter last
night for, um, dinner (yes, straight
out of the jar), or else I would be making these tonight.
And if there's a
night when I've gone
out to dinner with friends while Alex stays home, it's not unlikely that the next day I will get to feast on the remains
of his dinner — unless he's made himself a pot
of quinoa and
eaten the whole damn thing.
On our little staycation last week we
ate out one
night at a pizza place and
of course started the meal with one
of their salads on the menu.
I like to add it at
night so I can just pull the container
out of the fridge in the morning and everything is ready to
eat.
If not, I suggest giving it a try because it's a great way to guarantee that you
eat nutritious, home - cooked food (instead
of take -
out or ordering in) on tired, busy
nights.
Just
ate leftovers
of this last
night and it was amazing, even better than fresh
out of the slow cooker.
And, as birthdays go, I'm going to be indulging in lots
of other delicious
eats this entire week including an all - you - can -
eat Korean BBQ dinner on Friday, a fun
night out with a big group
of friends tomorrow, and most likely a family dinner when the pops gets back from a business trip.
The fact is, this salad is made up
of what needed to be
eaten out of my refrigerator last
night.
I would cook 2 or 3
nights a week, but could
eat 7 days a week - until some friends found
out and would «show up» on one
of my cooking

nights a week and I have loved most EVERY recipe I've tried (my two little sons also
eat your waffles often... I make and freeze a bunch at a time.)
Most
nights I'm flying by the seat
of my pants, trying to figure
out what we can
eat for dinner that doesn't take long to make.

I also relied on pantry staples (hello sunflower seed butter jar,
eaten in 3 days) although in NYC for much
of the time we could go
out to
eat, only Saturday
night was tough.
I froze them last
night and am happy to report that you can
eat them right
out of the freezer.
When I made this last
night, we
ate it warm, but for thanksgiving I will prepare it a couple hours before dinner and serve it as a room temperature salad (if only because next week there will be 10 people vying for very limited stove space and trying to get a hot dish to the table is a fast way to create a lot
of anxiety — I think right around crunch time, I'll step
out of the kitchen with a glass
of wine and leave the hot dishes to others).
I made these last
night and had to restrain myself from
eating them all after coming
out of the oven.
Ohio State's second three - and -
out of the
night still manages to
eat three more minutes off
of the clock.
If we go
out to
eat at a restaurant, however, he will ask for seconds
of the exact same thing that he refused to
eat at our house just the
night before.
Trying to get
out of the house or just grabbing a few hours
of sleep requires being constantly aware
of when he last
ate, when he'll be hungry again, and if I need to encourage him to
eat more frequently so he'll sleep better at
night.
A week after the feeding change, I moved
out of their room (I had started cosleeping when left NICU because breastfeeding twins that way was less exhausting) and as I realised that they were
eating little at
night I also I dropped the
night feedings, by watering down in 3 days.
I am empathetic with mothers who can not breast feed, but that doesn't mean we should forget how difficult it is for mothers who breast feed — glared at when public feeding, condemned for feeding after one year, constantly being asked if they are «supplementing with formula», having to pump, having to watch what they
eat, not being able to go
out for drinks, being up in the
night, and, like your comment, judged for breast feeding as a form
of soothing.
However, I was always intending to combination feed then give up breastfeeding and switch to formula after a few months as I wanted some freedom.It was my choice to breastfeed, to give up having drinks, to do the
night feeds, to get my breasts
out in public and everything else you mention above (I didn't watch what I
ate, if I listened to the HV about giving up dairy and greens and everything else, then I would have felt like crap) I made that decision and by the sounds
of it so did you.
I have a 6 and a half week old that is breastfed and she refuses to go to sleep at
night, without me right beside her or being latched on... I try to unlatch her when I think she has fallen asleep but this wakes her up... also if I try to get
out of the bed to spend time with my boyfriend before I'm ready to go to sleep she also wakes up shortly after I've left... This is getting quite tiresome and I've tried every different shape and name
of pacifier and she will not take them, I also tried to get her to take her bottle before bed so I would know she
ate a full 5 ounces and sleep most
of the
night but she won't take them anymore either.
By five weeks, I was totally exhausted, those babies still didn't want to
eat in the middle
of the
night, and on the understanding that the advice to do this feeding was
out of concern for my milk supply, I started getting up to pump instead and let the babies sleep.
Note: he had started sleeping through the
night and then got sick, so he wasn't
eating and was waking at
night out of hunger.
Then the kids could
eat whatever they wanted to the first
night and the quantity
of what they could
eat decreased from then on
out.
