Eating a full
meal shortly before bed could be keeping you
up at
night.
On the same day that we received the knives, I went and picked
up a bunch of groceries and turned the
night into a
meal prep to rival all others.
If I can't get at least three hours of sleep, my time is better spent powering
up with a
meal and working through the
night.
Taco Bell is best known for its late -
night Fourth
Meal concept, but
up until recently, the chain had virtually no presence at breakfast.
On that very
night He was to be delivered
up, Jesus longed to share a very special
meal with those who had become His friends; something which would be repeated often after the grave was empty.
That may mean we can pull it off if we sideline everything else, if we stay
up until 3 a.m. every
night, if we eat three
meals of crackers while we're glued to our computer and if we take our laptops to the poolside.
It allows them to make the
meal selection process spontaneous, picking
up the kit they want that
night, rather than being beholden to what the subscription service may or may not have left them that day.
Don't have to slog in the kitchen to whip
up a delicious
meal for two on Valentine's day or date
night.
So to gear
up for the big day I decided to make one hearty
meal last
night that was still light but would give us the energy that we needed to make it through today.

Whenever I am struggling to come
up with a quick
meal on a
night that I know will be busy, I always turn to some type of slow cooker taco recipe.
Recently I froze
up leftovers from a big batch of homemade enchilada sauce — same concept, I just portioned it out into
meal sized containers to use for our next enchilada
night.
I made this for dinner last
night changing it
up just a bit to make it a complete
meal.
The Beast and I call it our «Grown -
Up Grilled Cheese
Night,» so it's obviously a very adult, refined
meal.
Between the colors, changing leaves, Friday
night football, bonfires, pumpkin decorating, and cooking a
meal to bring everyone together at the end of fall for another changing holiday every day makes me wake
up with a smile!
The whole
meal cooks
up quickly and is perfect for a busy activity
night or
night where you just don't feel like cooking much.
The one thing i wish for is someone to post weekly dinner menus to help conceive of
meals that are seasonal and balanced — due to bad planning, i often wind
up eating tofu 4
nights in a row and then hating and resenting tofu (for example).
Cooks
up quickly for a week
night meal due to flattened chicken breasts or use the freezer cooking instructions and cook
up a big batch to stash in your freezer after a fun day at the beach.
Warm summer
nights usually mean I hang out in front of the grill cooking
up kabobs or some other delicious grilled
meal.
An easy
meal, the sauce recipe makes enough for two dinners, allowing you to freeze it for another
night or double
up your recipe!
Even better, this dish is one of my favorite, week -
night meals and can easily be made ahead of time, popped in the fridge or freezer, and warmed
up in a flash.
When he was much younger, we used to even dress
up for Oscar
night to enjoy a special
meal and grandma was usually his special guest.
Growing
up, Mama would prepare a full
meal most
nights of the week that included a meat and a few vegetable dishes.
If I want ice cream, or a date
night indulgent dessert bowl I'm perfectly happy to load
up on just fruit and cocoa — it's a divine combo for a smoothie bowl let's be real, but for an every day
meal I want something more balancing this is my jam!
It was also dished
up on a
night when we were eating at different times, so I prepped the soup portion of the
meal early in the day, cooked the pasta separately and tossed it with olive oil to prevent sticking, and then kept it at room temperature until it was time to eat.
One of my favorite
meals of the
night ended
up being the one I was least excited about, the pumpkin soup.
Growing
up, my mum rarely made the classic
meal and I always heard my friends complaining about meatloaf
night at their houses.
So, while a 30 - minute weeknight
meal might sound pretty quick to most, I'm kicking it
up into super-sonic speed on the typical
night with 10 - minute, pan-to-plate dinners!
My mother made it often for us when we were growing
up, she said it was a great way to use

This is a great option for a busy week
night meal because it has minimal ingredients and leaves little mess to clean
up.
I was conscious not to be tempted by the wares on display and splurge the
night before our CSA Pick -
up, and focus only on the
meal at hand.
