Raiden can sprint faster, deflect bullets and auto - navigate the environment by leaping up stacked containers and the like, but it feels like a feature not fully implemented.
And, although
Raiden's legacy didn't start off very strong (the game still remains my favorite of the series), his return in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots as a Grey Fox-esque
ninja cyborg wielding a deadly blade not only earned his redemption, but it left fans wanting to see what happened that led to
Raiden becoming a cyborg.
Avoiding these requires you to dodge — either by jumping, or using the
Ninja Run ability that acts as a sprint, whilst also allowing
Raiden to automatically deflect incoming bullets.
One of February's most interesting titles is Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, the upcoming Metal Gear spin - off featuring everyone's favourite cyborg
ninja,
Raiden.
Before jumping into the Private Military conquered world that Revengeance is set in, the demo introduces you to
Raiden himself, teaching you how to control the lightning fast cyborg
ninja.
That includes Darkseid, Red Hood, Starfire, Sub-Zero, Black Manta,
Raiden, Hellboy, Atom, Enchantress and The Teenage Mutant
Ninja Turtles (that last one will never stop being amusing).
As expected, the Legendary Edition will include the original game, as well as every downloadable character from the three Fighter Packs (Darkseid, Red Hood, Starfire, Sub-Zero, Black Manta,
Raiden, Hellboy, Atom, The Enchantress, and the Teenage Mutant
Ninja Turtles), and all the character - swapping Premiere Skins (Power Girl, John Stewart's Green Lantern, Reverse - Flash, Grid, and Black Lightning) from the Ultimate Edition.
Players must use
Raiden, a superhuman
ninja cyborg to get rid of the Snatcher threat.

As the title states, «Revengeance», the main essence of the story line is to extract revenge on these cyborg
ninjas, as well as the people that wronged
Raiden, by using his newly enhanced cyborg
ninja body and capabilities.
The demo is said to consist of three stages, allowing gamers to familiarize themselves with the game's newly introduced Zan - Datsu combat system used as part of
Raiden's new cyborg
ninja capabilities, particularly «Blade mode», which allows the player to make precision cuts by bending the blade to their will.

Ninja Turtles there was Hellboy, Black Manta, Enchantress, Redhood, Atom,
Raiden, Subzero and Teen Titans Starfire.
Metal Gear Solid 4 conversely demoted
Raiden to a supporting character, but saw him transformed into a menacing cyborg
ninja, where he featured in some of the most spectacular cut scenes that the game had to offer and, as a result, people finally wanted to play as him.
Third party characters such as Dante from Capcom and
Ninja theory's upcoming reboot DMC: Devil May Cry (though the more famous and established white haired one is bizarrely nowhere to be seen),
Raiden from Metal Gear, Heihachi from Tekken and Big Daddy from BioShock are also featured.
Stupidly but amusingly monikered spin - off Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance finally places
Raiden back in the starring role, albeit in his far more popular cyborg
ninja guise, allowing developer Platinum Games to construct an action game around him.
