But, to return to my initial affirmation, in a world of continuing genocide, torture and hunger, how can it be accurately argued that
the noble precepts of the Universal Declaration have made a difference?
It is historically correct to say that Christianity has never been a saving force in civilization when it has been looked upon as a set of
noble precepts which men may observe in isolation.
It's
a noble precept but not one, I suspect, that many of us are capable of living up to all the time.
