It is very quiet from inside the cabin around the down at city driving speeds as the revs are kept very low thanks to the high torque — you only notice a loud diesel engine
noise at higher RPMs nearer to the redline.

Better brake linings offer quieter operation, and an aluminum structural collar linking the oil pan and transmission housing reduces
