Interior sound levels are about average for this class, which means the Corvette's cabin can still be
noisy at highway speeds.

At highway cruise the cabin is
noisier than you'd find in a German rival, but it's not objectionable.
On the
highway, wind noise stays within low limits but
at times, rough patches of asphalt may force the suspension to react in a
noisy manner.
Ah, and while the former gen was pretty
noisy,
at least some part of the weight gain went into soundproofing, with exceptional results: you barely hear the engine under 2,500 rpm, and
at highway speeds, you can still talk with the others without raising your voice

In the cabin, Pontiac's premium seven - speaker Monsoon sound system (a $ 495 option) delivers a solid bass line via a subwoofer behind the passenger but little refinement
at higher ranges, which is where you will need to keep it if driving on the
highway, as the Solstice turned out to be one of the

Hybrids are notoriously
noisy buggers when you demand some power on the
highway, but the Avalon Hybrid did not yell
at me to take it easy.
Though this may be expected from a vehicle
at this price point, the fact we're pointing it out as being a tad excessive by class standards means you should prepare for a fairly
noisy journey if you ever take the Honda Fit out on longer journeys or out on open stretches of road like
highways.
