The Senate on Wednesday sermouned the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Babachir David Lawal, and the Foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyema, to appear before the upper chamber to explain the lopsidedness in
the nomination list sent by the president.

The state's Commission on Judicial
Nomination sent Cuomo a
list of seven recommendations, Graffeo and six lawyers and sitting judges, who are all Democrats.
They were culled from a
list of more than 250
nominations sent in by family, friends, colleagues and students.
If one or more valid additional
nominations are received by the Recording Secretary six weeks before the Annual Meeting, the Recording Secretary shall, four weeks before the Annual Meeting, mail to each member in good standing, a ballot
listing all the nominees for each position in alphabetical order, with the names of the states in which they reside, together with a blank envelope and a return envelope addressed to the Recording Secretary marked «Ballot» and bearing the name of the member to whom it was
sent.
The Committee shall then submit its slate of candidates to the Secretary who shall
send via 1st class mail or email the
list including the full name of each candidate and the name of the State in which he resides, to each member of the Club before August 15th so that additional
nominations may be made by the members if they so desire by September 15th.
(d) If one or more valid additional
nominations are received by the Recording Secretary on or before July 15, the Recording Secretary shall, on or about August 1, mail by First Class Mail to each member in good standing a ballot
listing all of the nominees for each position in alphabetical order, with the name of the State in which they reside, together with a blank envelope and a return envelope addressed to the independent auditing firm marked, «Ballot» and bearing the name of the member to whom it was
sent.
(e) If one (1) or more valid additional
nominations are received by the Secretary on or before September 1, the Secretary shall, at least 30 days before the Annual Meeting, mail to each member in good standing a ballot
listing all of the nominees for each position in alphabetical order, with the names of the states in which they reside together with a blank envelope and a return envelope addressed to the Secretary and marked «Ballot» and bearing the name of the member to whom it was
sent.
(c) If one or more
nominations are received by the Recording Secretary on or before November 15th, the Recording Secretary, on or before December 1st, shall mail to each member in good standing a ballot
listing all the nominees for each position, placing the names of the nominees in alphabetical order, together with an envelope addressed to the Recording Secretary marked «Ballot» and bearing the name of the member to whom it was
sent.
