Not only is it important for students to have the benefit of art education,
teachers in other subject areas can also benefit from the way art introduces wonder into any subject area.
But the vast majority of the city's roughly 1,100 foreign language teachers still receive no targeted professional development, as compared to weekly development for
teachers in other subjects, the paper noted.

The
teacher's approach to such problems might start from three assumptions: (a) the
teacher should be concerned with how science fits into the larger framework of life, and the student should raise questions about the meaning of what he studies and its relation to
