As for the bad, for starters,
none of the characters really appealed to me in the pilot.
Not exact matches
I can see why Shirley took this on, the chance in a brief period to create seven different
characters but
none of the vignettes
really go anywhere and the viewer is left with a feeling
of indifference.
The new film brings several new
characters to the mix,
none of which
really matter.
The same can be said
of its
characters,
none of whom
really register as more than archetypes.
None of these other
characters really matter though, they are in a way just extra props for Petit's act.
On a personal note, being a hardcore Spidey fan, I felt I might be bothered by some
of the modifications made to the origin, but after watching the finished film, I must say that
none of the changes
really have any bearing on the overall story, and it's remarkably accurate as far as the
characters go.
There are a lot
of non-CGI
characters running around this plot, but
none of them
really matter.
Ullman's Mother Nature
character begins the film, and appears from time to time, but she isn't much
of an issue as far as the main story goes, and whatever laughs she garners (
none, if you go by my laugh count) doesn't
really justify her constant distractions.
None get the time
of day required to
really flesh out a
character as all
of them are left as archetypes and little more.
Try though the film did to give each
of the
characters individual ways in which they were «broken,» and give Lena some meager backstory flashbacks,
none of it
really amounted to anything substantial.
The speculation for who Kesy would be playing is not confirmed, but sources claim that the
character Kesy would portray is
none other than «Black Tom» Cassidy, a mutant who can bond and project energy from plant life — I can already see the comedy unfolding with this one — but the rumor is that the
character's name could be «Black Bob» instead which could be a simple switch for fun or a
really goofy way
of throwing us off the trail
of who he
really is.
None of this should
really come as a surprise, as many
of us have speculated we'd be seeing Jackman returning as Wolverine in the film, especially with where the last film left his
character.
From the art to its cast
of characters to it being about volleyball, it had some intrigue, but it felt like
none of it
really stuck.
None of these tie directly into the story, but each series
of interviews tell a story all their own and Arkham's messages lead to a very satisfying plot twist surrounding a key
character and a mystery the player
really has to solve on his own.
The first is that there are
really no
characters that standout in the tale; you'll meet numerous people throughout your journey, but
none of the are particularly memorable, nor will you find yourself caring about them.
Considering a reboot would no doubt bring new voice talents — not to mention the fact that Michael Bell is in his 70 ′ s, and Tony Jay has passed away - I expect we'll be seeing the
characters re-imagined entirely — which could drastically change the tone
of the entire game — the Legacy
of Kain
really does revolve around Kain to the point where
none of the series» events would be possible without him.
In addition, the voice actors
really nailed their parts and
none of the
characters felt like they were rehashes
of other
characters.
Unless you
really have your heart set on a specific costume for your
character none of these honestly seem worth it and just a waste
of precious money.
But though Lightning has over 80 costumes in the game, and several
of these are adapted from other, better known Final Fantasy
characters,
none of these seem to quite suit her, or tell us who she
really is.
