in nonfiction literature.

using nonfiction literature, websites, YouTube videos, local resources, and community members.
Other selections illustrate the use of characterization, setting, mood, and conflict
in nonfiction literature, and give students practice in evaluating consumer documents.
The classroom is also provisioned with maps, costumes, photographs, artifacts, and fiction and
nonfiction literature.
A thematic approach allows students and teachers to work collaboratively to explore fiction and
nonfiction literature, composition and research.
