It can be had with either a
normal rear seat bench or two single seats with a
console in the middle that has an iDrive
controller.
Two circular
controllers on the
console control the automatic transmission and terrain management:
normal, spot, tow / haul, eco, loose terrain (grass, gravel, snow), low traction situations (sand), and uneven surfaces (mud, ruts).
The
console looks like a
normal controller with a flip - up screen and integrated sound system.
For $ 350 they could probably have gone with a very
normal controller and beefier specs that compare better to the competing
consoles due out later this year.
And it had a halfway
normal controller, something nintendo hates doing with their
consoles...
Modern
controllers aren't perfect but making a
controller designed for playing PC specific games on the couch at the cost of playability of
normal console games just seems weird.
On Kinect-less
consoles, of course, users can simply use their Xbox
controller as
normal.
