It can smother road imperfections and speed bumps admirably, while still being firm enough to give this SUV the sort of handling that the owner of a
more normal hatchback would be used to.
The story is much the same once moving, because the Vitara rides like
a normal hatchback, responding to swift steering inputs with minimal body roll.
The Leaf is essentially
a normal hatchback that comfortably seats four, can make it with five, has decent storage capacity — but has maybe a 3.5 to 4.0 gallon «gas tank» (battery).
The Ioniq does look more like
a normal hatchback, it lacks the Prius» distinctive weirdness.
Again, despite its crossover title, the visual reference point inside is more akin to sitting on a phonebook in
a normal hatchback, rather than a true CUV like Nissan's own Rogue or a Honda CR - V.
On the road, the Leaf drives like
a normal hatchback, with a very quiet ride and a cabin that is spacious enough to seat five in a pinch (though cargo space is less generous).
