Both the knockout and
normal phenotype data will be made available through the KOMP2 data coordination center so that researchers who acquire and study the knockout mice can compare various phenotypes.
The hTNFR1KI mice have
normal phenotype and can be used in combination to other genetic models (e.g. Tg197hTNFR1KI) or with a variety of induced disease models in order to test the efficacy of anti-human TNFR1 therapeutics.
Butyrate is a preferred substrate for colonocytes and appears to promote
a normal phenotype in these cells.
There is evidence this disorder is a complex hereditary trait, but attempts to identify genetic causes have been hampered by assigning an affected or
normal phenotype.
Both have
a normal phenotype.
The other three have normal eyes, and therefore
a normal phenotype at this time.
NORMAL - the dog has two copies of the RSPO2 gene with the insertion and it has a coat with proper furnishings and wire hair which is
the normal phenotype for the breed.
