And anyone who thinks the Hall of Fame should be restricted to players like Cal Ripken and Willie Mays are living in
Hyrule, because the actual Hall of Fame hasn't been nearly so exclusive since World War II.
There are some smart improvements on this game compared to
Hyrule Warriors, such as being able to switch characters mid battle and give commands to those you aren't controlling, but, overall I feel
Hyrule Warriors is the superior game.
Far from being the braindead musou we have learned to expect and love, Fire Emblem Warriors is
not just a
Hyrule Warriors reskin either but a new, exciting take at the genre.
If you enjoyed
Hyrule Warriors, you'll enjoy this just as much, and if you're
not really a Warriors fan, then this probably won't convince you, even if you adore Fire Emblem.
Hyrule Warriors is truly the definitive edition of a game that has been released
not once but twice over the span of 4 years.

The breath of fresh air we got from Omega Force in
Hyrule Warriors and Dragon Quest Heroes is
not present here, which means that Arslan is suitable mostly for fans of the anime.

Nintendo hasn't announced when amiibo support of the Link figurine will be added to
Hyrule Warriors, but it did say support for Mario Kart 8 wouldn't arrive until next year.
We're
not sure if
Hyrule Warriors will sell well, due to the lack of the word «Zelda» in the title, but it will be great fan service to two dedicated groups of people.
Having said that, when it comes to the giant boss monsters, I'm
not sure they fit well into
Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition.
My answer: The games that are already announced are enough for put Nintendo in a great place in 2015, however I think they should work more on amiibo because having one is worthless (unless you're in love with smash... kinda like me:P), they're
not cheap and the only game that they work well with is Super Smash Bros., in the other games they just give you additional items that aren't either that amazing and necessary (ex:
Hyrule Warriors, Mario Kart 8, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse), more I'm still waiting for what they're gonna do with Captain Toad, the game is already out but still no clue.

not skirt around it in any way: we have another Wii U port here with
Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition.

I wish you would stop springing these projects on me like this, I'm still busy having to oversee the production of
Hyrule Warriors and the other title
not announced for the handheld systems yet.
Hyrule Warriors is a thorough investigation into whether or
not a game can be predicated off of almost nothing but pure fan service.
Not top performance, as we see with Fire Emblem Warriors and
Hyrule Warriors Wii U (though my cousin and I still enjoyed it, and didn't notice anything game breaking).
While it certainly doesn't have the same historical reach as
Hyrule Warriors maintained, with half the series
not translated for western audiences, it's clear to see why they focused on the more recent and popular games.
Look, I'm
not going to sit here and tell you that one musou game is vastly different to another, however, I will sit here and tell you that Fire Emblem Warriors feels like an iteration to
Hyrule Warriors rather than repetition.
The gameplay may be pretty good, but one of the things that I loved about
Hyrule warriors was decimating armies with my favorite characters, and I don't like pretty much all of the fates cast.
Hyrule Warriors was hardly a groundbreaking game, but the fun, frenetic Warriors combat blended well with the Zelda universe, and fans were placated, if
not overjoyed.
After it was revealed that only a few games in the Fire Emblem series were going to appear, I became worried that this crossover game might
not be able to represent the IP as well as
Hyrule Warriors did for The Legend of Zelda.
Not a big fan of Musou particularly,
Hyrule Warriors kept me interested for a short while but it came out at the same time as GTA V, PES 15, Shadow of Mordor and Captain Toad.
It's a hell of a lot more niche — only really appealing to Zelda fans who don't mind a big change in the gameplay style — but
Hyrule Warriors is to Zelda what Mario Kart is to the Super Mario series, and that's brilliant news for dedicated fans.
(I think it includes this weeks sales, if
not then
Hyrule warriors sold 100k, so far) For comparisons of recent releases.
Having said that
Hyrule Warriors is
not your typical Nintendo focused IP so I don't see it making a big comeback in Japan for week on week sales.

I don't think WiiU has quite hit the 2 million mark just yet, but it HAS been gaining momentum in Japan over the last two months and I see it getting bigger with the upcoming release of
HYRULE WARRIORS, BAYONETTA, and other such stuff.
I dislike EA, and kind of dislike Ubisoft as of late, but third parties need to read into these numbers and see that there is potential for sales with the Wii U. Nintendo's willingness to merge their franchises with other franchises is what will sell third party games on the Wii U and I have no idea why companies are
not trying to do what
Hyrule Warriors is doing.
I think wiiu will be fine in japan this Summer I mean they got mk8, bayo 2,
hyrule warriors, and a wii sports club physical release plus one piece so I think it will do fine this summer

Yokai Watch 2 hasn't given an inch in terms of being knocked out of the top spot, but several new games for PS4 and PS3 have managed to supersede
Hyrule Warriors.

not forget that today Zelda Musou (
Hyrule Warriors) was launched in Japan.
If
Hyrule Warriors and Bayo 2, also with Fatal Frame + additional Kart sales keep the figure on a higher average than 6k a week we won't see a return to pre Kart no's for some time, imo, if at all.
It's a shame that
Hyrule warriors hasn't kept its momentum, but I think it will do just fine in the long run.
japan is a different beast altogether, they don't really care about home consoles as much, MK8 will slow down thats for sure but now the other games are coming bayonetta 2,
hyrule warriors and smash so it should be steady from here on out
It didn't feel like anything I hadn't already gotten out of
Hyrule Warriors.
And since Nintendo would certainly
not let something like this happen in the same year, I think it's safe to assume Nintendo (and Intelligent Systems as they are supervising Fire Emblem Warrios) have done what they could to ensure Fire Emblem Warriors will have a story that mirrors Heroes and
Hyrule Warriors too much.
