NOT arrange meetings between interested individuals and our fosters until an applicant has been conditionally
approved via the

Fayette Humane does
not do meet & greets outside of our regular
adoption events (Sat & Sun from 12 - 4 at PetSmart in Peachtree City, GA) unless by special arrangement for families who already have an
approved application on file with us.
Just because your
adoption application has been conditionally
approved, you are
NOT guaranteed a particular animal.
Once your rescued animal has an
approved application from a loving family that would like to adopt, you will be asked to either email or call the family to schedule an appointment, then finally complete the
adoption paperwork... don't worry we will show how you the first time.
Adoption applications are

approved on a first come, first served basis.

application is reviewed and seems to be a match, our
Adoptions Team will send a «pre-approval» email connecting you with the foster home, and an
Adoption Officer (please note that your pre-approval does not mean you have been approved for ad

adoption counselors, who will conduct a telephone interview with you to make a final decision whether or

If an applicant for
adoption assistance is
not satisfied with the action taken by the Department on the
application prior to
adoption finalization, or if the applicant who has been
approved for or is receiving
adoption assistance is
not satisfied with the conditions governing the award, the applicant may request a review of the decision by the Division Administrator.
Such fair hearing would be for the purpose of deciding whether the indicated report is sustained by a fair preponderance of the evidence and, if so, whether such person has been rehabilitated so that the health, safety, and welfare of a child will
not be endangered if such person's
application for
adoption is
approved.
Prior to

adoption assistance is
