While I'm recuperating from knee surgery, I thought this would be the perfect time to tackle a post that will cover transitioning your diet over, favorite
foods that I've discovered over my journey and brands for
beauty, the home and life that are both vegan and don't test on animals.
Not just herbs and spices, but ghee coconut oils vegan non GMO
foods, gluten free AND
beauty products that feature cruelty - free.
You see, as much as I love creating recipes in the kitchen and being around
food in general, I haven't really ever had an aspiration to create my own
beauty or bath products.
I love coffee, painting, designing, restoring, family, Jesus,
food, laughter, and
beauty...
not necessarily in that order.
My mind began to change a few months ago though after glancing at the ingredient list on a jar of night cream I'd purchased from a well known department store
beauty brand and seeing
not one but two artificial
food dyes on the list, plus over a dozen of unrecognizable ingredients.
The whole
beauty of blogging is that we get to see «real» people doing stuff — whether that's cooking
food or talking about
beauty routines or showing off outfits — and we're
not restricted to what the mainstream media want to show us.
Beauty begins in the gut — when we're
not digesting our
food properly, we feel puffy, bloated, foggy, our skin breaks out, and we get sick.
I don't think of skin care as a
beauty issue: Skin care is a health issue, no different from the
food I put on my dinner plate or the time I take to exercise every day.
Only organic
foods, I have a fairly large organic garden, only organic / homemade
beauty and cleaning products, avoidance of medications... I go to a holistic dr... etc. but I'm really starting to have an issue with statements that discredit medical professionals such as «dental professionals claim this isn't true» and having an interview trying to show how your views are right and what other professionals have said is false.
Avoiding gluten in
food has been much easier than I thought it was going to be, but I didn't expect to find it in
beauty products.
Human beings don't have the ability to digest fiber, so this is the
beauty of the cycle of life: Cows consuming fresh grass on pasture accumulate nutrients in their tissues all day long — this is why meat, and particularly organ meats, are the most nutrient dense
foods in all of nature.

It turns out that probiotics — the helpful bacteria that naturally live in the digestive tract —
not only help us properly digest our
food, but also affect major natural
beauty issues.
That includes
not only eating
