not even the smell of it, so making a recipe with all of the
coconut based ingredients has me quite apprehensive.
I love that we can have cream -

I was stunned (and very sad) to discover that
coconut oil is
not even in their data
base of foods!!
Today I used toasted Dandelion root tea as my
basis, and if you don't mind the slight bitterness, the toastiness mixed with the grass fed butter and virgin
coconut oil is superb!
The important thing to realize is that the fat in
coconut milk is plant
based and
not animal
based.
I've used
coconut milk as the
base for this ice cream but that doesn't make this a
coconut flavour ice cream, yes there may be a subtle background coconuttiness but trust me this is all about the salted caramel taste!
Some early attempts using bananas didn't pan out quite as I'd hoped, but Marla's Vegan Chocolate and Cherry Ice Cream inspired me to change course and use
coconut milk for the
base instead.
The first thing to investigate when choosing a virgin
coconut oil, is whether or
not it is actually a copra -
based coconut oil or
not.
I would only make DIY homeamde
coconut yogurt if it's for fun, a one - time kind of thing and if I don't plan to eat it a lot on a daily
basis..

based on making 4 servings and only includes strawberries, raspberries, cherries, and
coconut whip cream (does
not include your choice of cookie crumble).
I tend to use almond or
coconut flour as the
base (flour
base) and adjusting liquids for each,
not a replacement for cornmeal as you suggest.
Because this ice cream has a cashew
base and is
not made of
coconut milk, it truly tastes like a classic vanilla ice cream, rather than some sad approximation of vanilla ice cream with an odd

not assume that those that are lean would benefit from adding
coconut oil, nor should we assume that those trying to lose weight eating a plant
based diet should add

Activating and drying the nuts for the
base was pretty fiddly without a dehydrator (and I'm
not even sure very successful) and cracking open a couple of young
