Hell does
not yet exist, according to the Bible, and while the Lake of Fire IS
eternal, the only beings who will be there eternally are the beast, the false prophet, and Satan.

When one does a comparative analysis of various Bible translations,
hell, sheol, pit, and grave, all mean the very same thing, mankind's common grave, ergo, «the wages sin pays is death»

Ask an Evangelical whether or
not he believes there are flames in
hell, and after a thirty - minute philosophical recitation on the theological implications of
eternal retribution in light of the implicit goodness of God, you will still
not know what he really believes.

Theologically, it really doesn't matter whether an all - knowing God would choose to predestine most of his creation to
eternal torture, or just know that by specifying such a tight requirement (Jesus — through word of mouth — or
Hell), most of humanity would end up in
Hell.
Only a monster would make people knowing that they would eventually wind up in
hell - especially when he had the choice to
not make them at all, thus saving them from
eternal torture.
I don't think it's possible to imagine a more evil character than one who could do away with the
eternal suffering of
hell yet allows it to continue.
The one who believed in Jesus Christ for
eternal life went to heaven, the one who did
not believe, went to
hell.
