I've done low carb in the past and had very good results... now I can
not get into ketosis.
Again some people will
not get into ketosis unless their carbohydrate intake is much less than that.
There is an ongoing argument about net carbs, but if you aren't getting into ketosis then restrict it to 20grams or less of total carbs per day.

I haven't tried carb loading yet because it takes me so long to actually
get into ketosis, if I was to throw me out of it once a week, then take 4 - 5 days to
get back
into it, I figure I would just never be where I need to be... so that much doesn't make sense to me.

Getting into nutritional
ketosis is one thing, but just because you're registering 2.0 mmol / L on the blood ketone meter doesn't mean the diet is working for you.
It didn't take me long to
get back
into ketosis according to the stix.
The fat from my morning bulletproof coffee makes my body stay in
ketosis so my cells and metabolism

Regarding energy levels, it might be that you're
not in
ketosis itself to
get the improved energy levels — there are several important aspects you need to know to
get into ketosis, it's
not just about low carb, your protein needs to be kept under control too — you might need some individual advice on this as this book is
not designed to be an individual consultation and as you can appreciate, everyone has their own unique circumstances.
Keto is
not a high protein diet and if you eat too much protein, you'll find that you struggle to
get into ketosis or can't stay there.

getting into Ketosis won't take long and isn't at all hard when you learn to read nutritional labels, follow the keto food pyramid and calculate your macros you certainly won't starve.
Most people actually
get into ketosis within 24 hours, but your body won't start spilling ketones
into the urine and usually, you don't experience keto flu on the first day.
I even accidentally added some fruits
into my menu, which didn't have very positive effect on
getting into ketosis — no you can
not eat banana when doing keto diet.
Some low carb practitioners do consume it, but
not if they're wanting to
get into ketosis.
Ketone supplements don't cause weight loss on their own, they help you to
get into ketosis.
The goal of this guide is to
get you
into the state of
ketosis as fast as possible, meaning right now we are
not trying to lose weight.
I was actually looking
into getting bariatric surgery when I found out about the diet, and halted my pursuit of the surgery, because I don't want to change how good I feel (you have to do a liquid only diet for a couple weeks before surgery, and I'm

Getting into ketosis doesn't have to be hard.
Here is the big difference: when you are in a state of metabolic
ketosis, any time that you are

not a quick and easy process.
What I am trying to say is, maybe those of you having trouble
getting into ketosis, might have to do what I did, shoot for zero carbs for a while,
not easy!
In a fasting situation which will definitely
get you
into ketosis though
not probably in deep
ketosis as several weeks of a ketogenic diet.
