It makes me feel that the term «
vegan»
is extremely unfortunate and misleading, because the term does
not emphasize or even signify respect for animals or living
beings or creatures, as it
would benefit from doing, but rather uses a derivative form of «vegetable» or «vegetarian», which makes it sound as if the central point
is — eating vegetation, i.e. plants, which makes it sound like a diet.

is not a criticism of people who want to
be raw,
vegan, paleo or anything else — I only
have respect for you and what you do, anyone who truly believes in something and follows through on it

have delicious food made from ingredients you can trust.
We usually aren't strictly
vegan or gluten - free, but
were so flattered by the offer that we didn't
have to think more than 2 seconds before answering them that we
would happily take it on as a challenge (while dancing a silly dance and singing «We

Telling me they didn't understand why I
would make this choice since because
vegan was something I felt so strongly about.
I haven't tried the recipe yet but I
'm aware that freezing tofu can give it a nice chewy texture (an awesome Asian
vegan restaurant in Worcester, Ma makes all their meat substitutes out of tofu and I
'm pretty sure this
is part of their method — they speak very bad English so I
've never asked).
Honey
is a mix of both worlds — it
has a great flavor and
is sticky enough (but it
's not vegan).
Seriously, if I didn't know that the cheddar broccoli soup
