Oh, and my husband does
not like basil so this recipe is great for him.
If you love basil, you'll really appreciate that subtle flavor and frankly, if someone in your household doesn't like basil or is freak out by the thought of an herb in their cookies, just don't tell them!
Don't like basil - substitute it with chopped thyme or rosemary or parsley.
It sounds a little bit strange, but please try it out and I promise you will enjoy it (unless you don't like basil).

It wasn't that I was unsuccessful, more
like unaware that if you plant 3 watermelon plants and 3 cantaloupe plants they will take over your entire garden in a creepy, crawly, sort of way and kill off your
basil, cauliflower, and chives.
Honey and
basil work well with only one fruit too,
like strawberries, you don't necessarily need to make a mix of fruits.
If you don't have any wild garlic, then substitute in other greens
like basil and rocket (arugula) but, you would have to add some garlic.
This was so yummy, I used the
basil pesto because I don't
like tomato sauce.

like thyme feel free to use any other herbs you prefer
like rosemary, oregano or

basil plant isn't quite big enough to harvest a mother load of leaves
like this (and this was only 1/3 of the bag I bought) with out assaulting it so I was thrilled to find this.

Quenched smelled the same, or very very close to it (for me I couldn't really smell the
basil component, it just smelled
like lemon - sugar).

For the blintzes I put the cup of bay scallops (drained, but
not rinsed) in the blender (
not in a food processor), added about a teaspoon of fresh
basil, a pinch of salt and pepper, a pinch of dry fresh thyme leaves (you can add any herb you
like I think — maybe even dill would work — or just parsley or green onion maybe).
Yes, I agree, it doesn't smell
like basil which is a relief because really,
basil is a smell I want to eat and I wouldn't want my home to smell
like Italian food.
