One leading advantage of
mLearning is that you do
not require making even the slightest of change in your routine life.
Microlearning is a delivery format that owes its wide acceptance
not only to the fact that it addresses the attention span challenge but also to the increased adoption of mobile learning or
mLearning.
Making the most of
mLearning is to recognize the way you can leverage it to your advantage, and
not just porting your existing learning material to a mobile - friendly format.
I could go on — but I really haven't come across any compelling reason to write off
mLearning as part of a training strategy.
They don't always need to, to be involved in the
mLearning process.
Can you think of reasons why you might
not wish to consider
mLearning in your scheme of things?
Do you have staff that
not only understand the devices you have determined are being supported, but also understand how to use the
mLearning you are creating?
Additionally, if you are creating native apps for
mLearning you need to worry about creating multiple different native «apps» since an Android device will
not load an app built for a Window 8 phone or Apple iOS devices and vice versa.
And it's
not just
mLearning as a capability or as an add - on feature to an LMS that needs attention.
If you don't have a strategy for support - either internal to the training division or working with the help desk - you are asking for issues that can cause perception of

So yes, one should
not just do
mlearning for the sake of it.
Put yourself in your learners» shoes to remove annoying factors that don't translate well from eLearning to
mLearning.
Of course, it's
not perfect:
mLearning really works best when used in conjunction with other delivery methods and is ideal for «just in case» or quick information and reminders.
