Aubergine works really well here and provides a really substantial almost meaty texture and
not at all mushy (the
mushiness in some recipes has put me off aubergine in the past).
Texture-wise, it's a good step above every other recipe I'd tried, but it still wasn't quite there — I was still encountering that unpleasant
mushiness between the chunkier bits.
Some people complain about the supposed
mushiness, but I find that it isn't mushy at all if you know how to make it.
But to ensure no
mushiness, do
not over-blanch and chill quickly.
(flax meal and water) that could have added to the
mushiness,
not sure.
I haven't done cooked cabbage very many times and am unsure of the
mushiness factor...
I also added white potatoes and really didn't like the
mushiness that they added.
Caring, smart, loving... the list could go on and on and I don't want to embarrass him with all the
mushiness!!
Sorting by show isn't possible unless you rename each recording — a painstaking process given the sluggishness of the device and the
mushiness of the remote.
