I must say that Ella's sweet
recipes aren't for me, because you Ella use so much almond
butter, cashews, pecans or other
nuts which I can no longer use.
I have a general question (although it does relate to these too), what alternative would you suggest instead of
nuts,
nut butter and
nut flour (where they are obviously
not a key ingredient to a
recipe like macarons)?
I did
nt put
nut butter or almond milk because i cant do
nuts but raw milk and chia and flax seeds and it was delicious I follow many health blogs like yours but your
recipes are certainly the best!
My favourite
nut butter is almond
butter and I include so many other
nuts into my
recipes so don't really feel the need for peanuts as well as they aren't very high in nutrients.
I understand if it doesn't work for you though in my
recipes I often use it for the specific sweetness or stickiness, so sometimes
nut butters (almond, cashew or tahini) can work as a substitute or other oils (olive) or other sticky beauties (dates, figs etc).

I don't even remember the last time I made a new
nut butter recipe.
Flavorful, yes, but the
recipes are filled with
butter or olive oil, honey,
nuts, phyllo, and cheeses, so they are
not typically low calorie, low fat, or low sugar.
You can also leave out the turmeric entirely (I know it's a distinctive flavor that's
not for everyone), and you'd end up with what is probably our favorite smoothie «base»
recipe, with bananas, almond
butter, and
nut milk comprising the bulk of the smoothie.
I don't think the almond
butter flavor is too noticeable, but if you're
not a fan of almonds you could also try this
recipe using peanut
butter, cashew
butter, or even sunflower
butter for a
nut - free alternative.

My kind of snack is grabbing a spoon and a tub of peanut
butter, but that doesn't really class as a
recipe so I can't blog about it... unless I made the
nut butter myself, which in that case you'll definitely hear me rambling on!
Bread pudding is one of my favorites and this
recipe is quite similar to my own «method» (meaning that I do
not use a real
recipe but incorporate what is on hand with the basic ingredients) My very, very best version uses leftover, homemade biscuits that have been split,
buttered and toasted... add some dried peaches cut into small pieces, the plumped cranberries, toasted
nuts and usually a chopped apple.
It's
not often that I say a
recipe is life changing, but this
nut butter totally is.
I also added a tbsp of cocoa powder and it tastes like a chocolate chai latte... mmm... And for for those with
nut / coconut allergies, I mostly don't make this
recipe including the
nut / coconut
butter (for the most part because I never have them in my house as I have either finished them off or am too lazy to go to the store...) and it still turns out great: P

I haven't made these into pancakes but I've made similar muffins
recipes into pancakes and I've always had to reduce the amount of oats to about 1 cup and use coconut oil instead of
nut butter.

Okay, this is another
nut free «
nut butter»
recipe, but who doesn't want a nutella - like spread that they can indulge in without the guilt?
I've tried this
recipe with other
nut butters and while still good, it's
not quite the same.
If you have a peanut allergy however, or simply don't like the taste of peanuts, by all means substitute the peanut
butter in this
recipe for any other
nut butter of your choice and I promise you'll still have a very delicious cake!
My first reaction is that a
nut butter would
not work in this
recipe.
It's called almond
butter but I didn't notice any
butter in the
recipe What makes it look shiny an smooth is it the natural
nut oils.
They would
NOT be too sweet if the
nut butter was pure
nut butter or you just cut out some of the sugar (or both — which is what I would do if I make it again) so I'm giving the
recipe 4 stars because 1) it's redeemable and 2) regardless of the sweetness, I've managed to eat 4 small cookies quite happily.

For those who aren't partial to vanilla, here's my
recipe alterations for cocoa -
nut and peanut
butter.
I tried a different
nut butter since he's
not a fan of the texture of some other GF
recipes that use almond
butter, meal, or flour.

not a question but i discovered something amazing and i have to tell somebody) I used mashed avocado in place of
nut butters / oil in a cookie
recipe earlier and, to my surprise / horror / holycowthisjustworked kinda feeling, it worked!
Now, that I have mastered making almond
butter and
nut / seed
butter cups in my high powered blender, I can't stop creating different flavors and
recipes in my kitchen.
