plant based diet to fit all that food in there, and sometimes I just want a break from nut / seed butters, quinoa and whole soy.

not only protein adequate, they are rich in vitamins, minerals, fiber, and phytonutrients and can help prevent, combat, and sometimes even reverse the very same chronic diseases that excess levels of animal -
based proteins are linked to.

based diet followed by populations that had no, that didn't suffer from heart disease, hoping it would stop the disease process, keep it from progressing further.
Now, Ornish didn't just put people

plant -
based diet.
Anyway this is
not an issue for many people, but it would pay to keep an eye
on your bone density and
not assume that a healthy
plant based diet will protect you from bone loss — although it is great for many things.

on this topic but I can say from the personal experience of drastically altering my
diet from very animal
based to
plant based I have seen incredible results.
I will try to keep
on the
plant based diet but it is hard to follow it when it has
not achieved the results I had hoped it would accomplish.
You can't get that low eating a varied whole
plant based diet, excepting those focusing
on rice or tropical tubers (cassava, taro, yam) or where fruit is a third or more of calorie intake.
Of course you can go
on a
plant based diet and still
not lose weight if you eat high calorie dense foods.
I enjoyed reading about how she overcame all of those issues, but my favorite part of the book was her explanations
on how she handled common objections, combated anecdotal evidence, and dealt with negativity from people who were threatened, and / or didn't understand why she chose to give up the standard American
diet for a
plant -
based lifestyle.
