I have been

elimination diet for a couple of weeks and was looking just this sort of recipe I can
not currently eat corn or bread but in one more week I will be able to begin adding back foods to see what I am allergic to.

I've done the
elimination diet on my own (
not following anything — just using the word «
elimination») and have eliminated wheat in my
diet for the past couple of months.
Since this smoothie does
not contain fruit or citrus, it's also a fabulous option for those
on elimination diets or with special dietary needs!
Had I
not had my MRT results to guide me, I would have given up
on the
elimination diet by the 3rd day (seriously) and assumed all of the foods I was eating were problematic (another reason that generic

I think it would be best to focus
on the many produce options that have been tested — again, the
diet is designed for the short term — so after the
elimination phase — you could assess your tolerance for some foods that perhaps haven't yet been tested.

on several websites that tempeh is low fodmap, but I just read the following in Patsy Catsos's book «IBS — Free At Last» second edition, page 116: «Soy products such as soy milk, tempeh, miso and soy protein isolate......... do contain carbohydrates from the soybean, so they are
not allowed during the
Elimination Phase of the

elimination diet, I have
not had a single recurrence,
not one.
I was told when healing the gut I should do an
elimination diet and cut all dairy out at first and grains except quinoa too (I see some include raw dairy
on candida
diets, does it just depend if you want to find what you react badly too) but am guessing you don't necessarily have to be grain free to heal candida or the gut.
There's a lot of variation between
elimination diets, and some doctors have different degrees of
elimination diet so you can start
on an easy one first then move
on to a more difficult one if it doesn't meet your needs (e.g. Food Allergies and Food Intolerance by Jonathan Brostoff and Linda Gamlin).
When things gets complicated food wise (such as needing to go
on ANOTHER
elimination diet, even if
not as strong as the first time we did it) I tend to bake a LOT more.
Suffering from numerous food intolerances myself, from gluten and dairy to nightshades and sugar, and having spent several months
on elimination diets such as the AIP, I know exactly how difficult it is to live feeling like you can't enjoy food, travel and socializing.

Raisins are
not allowed
on the
elimination phase of the

* It is important to note that the modified
elimination diet is just one (of many) steps
on the journey towards healing the intestine, which (in case you didn't know), is home for approximately 70 — 80 % of the human immune system, but I will save that topic for another day.
I haven't actually gone
on the 100 % full
elimination diet (though we've tried it
on Jr.), my summer is just making it impossible (going
on LARPs, etc)-- but I've been good and cut most of the FODMAPs from my

not currently
on the
elimination diet or are in the process of reintroducing sweeteners, I highly recommend adding a nice drizzle of honey, too.
Note: While
on a food
elimination diet, it is very important
not to feed your pet anything other than the
elimination diet and treats and medications that are expressly approved by your veterinary dermatologist.
You could try allergy testing and
elimination trials from
diet but if it isn't causing any problem, keep an eye
on it.
