Getting

living in that fantasy world just doesn't work» I stumbled on this site for some solid answers to biblical questions just to get hit with the atheist buzz

The
real opposition for Buber is
not between philosophy and religion, as it at first appears to be, but between that philosophy which
sees the absolute
in universals and hence removes reality into the systematic and the abstract and that which means the bond of the absolute with the particular and hence points man back to the reality of the
lived concrete — to the immediacy of
real meeting with the beings over against one.

A blind spot
in real life is one of those areas of our vision where we think we can
see, but we really can
not.
If we created an artificial simulated world inside a computer, and made sure we programmed it such that the intelligent
life we created within was unable to access the «
real world», they would
not be able to fathom anything but what they
saw / heard / smelled
in that artificial world.
This is true
not only because, as we have
seen, the memory of Jesus himself is embedded
in the
life of the church and is carried
in its heart — a memory which no historical criticism can possibly discredit — but also because the
real medium of the revelation is the event as a whole, and
not any particular part of the event, however important.
But
in life, we decide what is
real and
not real, based on what we
see in the
real - world.
see what you have to understand about
living in a
real world — a world where god is just a story and
not real — its a world based on scientific and physical laws that are proven to exist and their effects are measurable... us as humans, mere animals, hold no
real power or control aside thru ingenuity which allows us to change our environment to suit us... stay with me here... at this point
in human history we ceased to change to suit our environment and started changing it to suit us — thats destruction of the earth to suit one species — that should go over well...
M.D That is why it is important to have his guidance
in understanding for yourself the more we walk
in the truth of Gods word the more he reveals to us.That is a key to understanding the scriptures its
not about how much we know about it but how much we walk
in it.Then the word becomes
living and
real and people should
see Jesus
in us.brentnz
One need only open their eyes (or more radically, read their Bible) to
see women all around us who do
not meet these narrow and misleading definitions of «
real» or true» and yet
live and move and have their being
in their full womanhood, affirmed as daughters of the King.
Shadowflash, I don't recall your response to any of my posts... I usually do recall them... But I do agree with one thing you said... «human mind hates being wrong» But I
see it differently then you do... I
see human mind and human understanding being the stumbling block and point of pride, which prevents man from
seeing the reality of his
real condition, and the need to humble himself
in order to be able to
see himself as he is, and seek the help of His Creator without whom he is a
living, moving shell, yet, without the vital part of him being alive, which would make him complete.
As it is, once
in a while I'm stretched too thin and don't

in case of a delay, he will
not abandon you... we will
not be forgotten Amen To those who don't, I know the myth of Santa and the easterbunny really choked up your insides to find that they were
not real, but childhood is over and it was a cruel human joke designed to make it that much harder for you to believe
in that which visits you and you can't
see, no matter you have
life so is it too much to ask for a little belief?
I just don't think it applies to
real life, are you going to have «Faith»
in your doctor when she is treating your child, of course
not (you want to
see a degree or at least have knowledge that the doctor knows what she is talking about), if the technician working on your spouses brakes tell you that he doesn't know what he is doing but he has faith that he can fix them, are you going to your spouses
life in his hands?
We had never
seen anything like it before,
not in real life anyway.
I just don't think it applies to
real life, are you going to have «Faith»
in your doctor when she is treating your child, of course
not (you want to
see a degree or at least have knowledge that the doctor knows what she is talking about), -------- I do like this analogy.
«There is
real and genuine tolerance only when a man is firmly and absolutely convinced of a truth, or of what he holds to be a truth, and when he at the same time recognizes the right of those who deny this truth to exist, and to contradict him, and to speak their own mind,
not because they are free from truth but because they seek truth
in their own way, and because he respects
in them human nature and human dignity and those very resources and
living springs of the intellect and of conscience which make them potentially capable of attaining the truth he loves, if someday they happen to
see it.
In my travels, as I've met so many of you face - to - face, I've come to
see that «
real life» and «online
life» should
not be regarded as separate spheres, but as connected.
Always,
in every place and every time, those who provide the energy and insight for
real change
in the human condition are those for whom values are
not just ethical generalizations or moral ideals but, rather,
life lived in faithfulness to apparently «insane truths» which define a
real world as they have been given eyes to
see it.
However, for those of us who
live in the
real world and around Mormans,
see how they act and still do the say things and although they say they don't do these things... it's still amazing how you can still find them doing the very same things and it is still ok... and you really didn't
see what you just
saw!

We put up the tree about a week ago, when a trip to the supermarket
saw us leaving happily with the first Christmas tree we've ever bought; and despite the fact that it isn't even a
real pine tree, but is made of plastic instead,
seeing it
in our
living room makes it feel more like Christmas.

I'm so sick of people telling those of us who are disgruntled fans to relax and give this club time to correct itself... for anyone who believes that taking a wait - and -
see approach is appropriate at this juncture they should take a good long look at themselves
in the mirror because they are a big part of the problem... no other «big» club's fans would stand for this shit for nearly as long as we have... think about it, we've witnessed a changing of the guard at every major club
in England, Spain, France and Germany
in the last several years because those «big» clubs failed to
live up to expectations (Barcelona,
Real Madrid, Bayern, PSG, Chelsea, ManU, ManCity etc...)... for some reason, many fans have become as fragile as our current manager, believing that there couldn't possibly be a suitable replacement, even though everyone of these clubs have found multiple replacements and still achieved far more than our club... this mindset has been created by an organization that has been milking it's fans, telling countless lies (no world class players available) and lowering expectations every since they rolled out the biggest lie of all: that we couldn't spend because of the new stadium but once it was paid off we could compete with any team in the world... this organization is rotting from the inside out and if we don't demand that those in charge put soccer first this despicable behaviour won't end with Wenger's ridiculous 2 year contract... I think the real fear isn't that a suitable replacement doesn't exist, but that this organization is so money hungry and poorly mismanaged that we will sink even lower by choosing our next coach the same way they choose our players, on the cheap... even so, we need to see what mustache will do if left to his own devices so he will have to show his true colours... only then can we purge this club and start

in charge put soccer first this despicable behaviour won't end with Wenger's ridiculous 2 year contract... I think the
real fear isn't that a suitable replacement doesn't exist, but that this organization is so money hungry and poorly mismanaged that we will sink even lower by choosing our next coach the same way they choose our players, on the cheap... even so, we need to see what mustache will do if left to his own devices so he will have to show his true colours... only then can we purge this club and start

Merson Wright Robson or anyone who has an axe to grind with Arsenal is at it I don't give a shit what they think I support th club and team
in general if they play shit we have had more success then most teams Thy seem to Laud spuds but the fukers win nothing they won 2 trophies
in 30 yeas but I don't
see the media others pulling them up on it like we had when we didn't win anything for 10 years There is definitely an agenda
in the media against Arsenal and its sadly spearheaded by ex Arsenal players So I say when they ubfairly attack the club and our existing players they are fair game for retribution from the
real fans who
lives be the club and will support it through thick and thin.
