And so as you can see, which I have reason to fear you will
not see in the film, the message of Coriolanus tends to be conservative: republican politics is beset from the get - go by tragic flaws, and the only programmatic political lessons one might take (which includes the lesson that conditions will seldom let you succeed at applying them) are aristocratic - republican ones.
