I don't know whether to upvote this for good points, or downvote it for the formatting and lack of anything to support it.

While I'm not surprised that you got a ton of upvotes on here, this answer is full of premises that are just wrong.
This will not affect the balance between major candidates (since a downvote for A is same as upvote for B, in the balance between the two)- BUT, a downvote for major candidate A is also effectively an upvote for 3 - d party candidate C!
He can make business difficult for a company while «asking nicely»: «Give a upvote to everyone and I won't send the IRS round to audit your books every Monday» but probably less crude.
It sounds like he would basically need someone to write a bot to upvote all posts in a particular thread using the POTUS Reddit account, and ask Reddit not to consider it a TOS violation but merely a time - saving measure on his part.
