Singapore's
National Institute of
Education is seen as something of a gold standard in the training of teachers and a
notable feature is the two - way learning process they have developed with schools.

The superintendent's report is also an excellent vehicle for sharing with board members
notable superintendent activities, such as meetings with the board of county commissioners, the CEO of the local community foundation, or the director of the state department of
education, and attendance at state and
national conferences.
Perhaps the most
notable national event to ring out the year is the passage of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), the latest installation of the 1965 Elementary and Secondary
Education Act (ESEA).
