notice tapeworm segments on fur around the anus, or even see long stringy worms in the stool.
Generally, when a pet is infected, the owner will
notice tapeworm segments, which look like rice, in the stool, near the anus or on the pet's fur.
Owners may
notice tapeworm segments stuck to or crawling through the fur around their dog's anus.
If
you notice tapeworm segments in your cat's feces or near the anus, talk to your veterinarian, who will probably prescribe an oral deworming medication.
You might discover that your cat has tapeworms by
noticing tapeworm segments clinging to the fur around the cat's rear end.
