After you
hit finish, the Desktop Software will reconnect to your BlackBerry
device and then show you something that looks like the screen capture below with
notification of an available OS update marked by a red asterix.
If you haven't received an update
notification, you can attempt to push one to your phone by
hitting Menu > Settings > About
device > Software update and follow the on - screen prompts.
The update push is going out in phases so you may need to repeatedly check for the update in your region to see when it will

device doesn't get the KitKat 4.4.4
notification today.

These features may or may not be handy to you, like a swipe down gesture that opens the
notification bar... however, install a protective case on your
device, and that top edge becomes really hard to
hit, and then the swipe down gesture becomes a life saver.
If you live in India and use the Moto Turbo, the Marshmallow OTA
notification should already have
hit your
device.
When Apple first announced Do Not Disturb While Driving, a new feature coming in iOS 11 that hides incoming
notifications while you're driving, I was a little skeptical — surely automatically enabling Do Not Disturb when someone
hits the road would do little to change how they interact with their
device while driving.
The update is
hitting the
devices over the air and as such, everyone should be able to see a
notification alerting them when the OTA is ready to download on their S8 and S8 +.
Having a
device on your wrist that will allow you to quickly glance at any
notification that
hits your phone without having to pull out a potential distraction source is a great way to focus on what matters most - your work at hand.
