Most phones adjust the ringtone and
notification volume by default when you press the physical volume buttons.
Considering that Android's volume buttons control
notification volume by default and only allow you to turn down media volume after a track has started playing, this is a common occurrence.
Then perhaps one of my biggest gripes with Android is how the volume buttons control
notification volume by default, despite the fact that media playback volume needs to be adjusted far more frequently.

But the trouble is, they control
notification and ringtone
volume by default, and will only adjust media
volume after a song or video has started playing.
Apps can be added to Priority Mode's whitelist
by long - pressing any
notification they post and tapping the aforementioned «i» button, and additional options can be found
by pressing the Gear icon in the
volume menu.
The hated Lollipop
notification scheme is gone, replaced
by a much more straightforward trio of sliders that appears with a tap of the
volume key: alarm,
notification, and media
volume can be independently controlled, with the global «Do Not Disturb» option moved to a toggle in the
notification shade.
Now reboot
by pressing the power button; when the LED
notification light turns Pink (or any other color in that matter) press
volume up or
volume down button for a couple of times.
And,
by default, a
volume slider sits below the brightness controls in the
notification shade, but it can be turned off quite easily.
When you access your
volume (
by pressing the
volume buttons), you can now access Priority Settings that allow you to manage which
notifications reach you and when.
Receiving a response to a manual résumé submission is rare due to the
