Where BlackBerry have implemented something new in OS 10.3 is that you can
now access the Quick Settings from within any application - something I've wanted for a long time now.

now includes a
quick settings panel that gives you
quick access to frequently used
settings, including Wi - Fi and Bluetooth
settings, airplane mode, a brightness control, and battery information.
This is just a minor tweak, but when you pull down your notification shade to
access your
Quick Settings tiles, you'll
now see a
set of connectivity and battery indicators at the top of the screen, next to the
Settings gear.
Android Nougat takes this to the next level with
quick settings option where it's
now easier to
access basic things such as Flashlight, Wi - Fi, and Bluetooth.
The notification shade in Android Nougat is completely revamped, and one of the biggest changes is that you can
now access your most common
Quick Settings toggles without having to swipe down twice.
You can
now swipe down from any screen to
access a
quick panel, which displays
settings like brightness, volume, and airplane mode.
This can still be
accessed by pulling down from the top of the screen, but a second downward swipe
now takes you straight to the
Quick Settings menu (note that notifications are still accessible when in
Quick Settings view).
From
now on, your ICE contacts can be
accessed directly from the
Quick Settings menu.
Android and iOS have
quick access to toggling key
settings like WiFi and Bluetooth, which has been missing from Windows Phone until
now.
Now when you pull down the notification shade you'll get
quick access to a few power controls with your notifications underneath, and pressing the expandable drop - down button on the right will bring you to your full
quick settings page.
Now, for
quick access to a variety of
settings, including the All Settings page, you can use the new Action
settings, including the All
Settings page, you can use the new Action
Settings page, you can use the new Action Center.
You'll also
now be able to
access more
quick settings from the notification panel, and change the
settings from the panel rather than opening up a new
settings screen.
Control over the heads up notifications, the new Doze feature, and the customizable
Quick Settings tiles are all little adjustments Google has made to the operating system which can be played with right
now for users who have
access to the developer preview.
As mentioned before the
quick settings bar and notifications can
now be
accessed from the lock screen.
A single swipe
now gets you to the notification center, and is your
quick way to
access settings.
Quick settings are
now lined up horizontally at the top of your screen (again, much like Samsung or LG), along with a drop down menu for
access to more features.
There is also
now a built - in flashlight function in Lollipop that's accessible on the
quick settings pane, which also
now lets you quickly and easily
access your alarms.
