now use the new APIs to make this
autofill otpion available to users in other apps.
The official Android Oreo / EMUI 8.0 beta is heading to the Honor 7X
now, and with it comes picture - in - picture, Project Treble, the
Autofill API, and more.
With
Autofill API, you no longer have to rely on accessibility plugins or copy and paste — this functionality is
now baked into Android.
As per usual with Oreo updates, this means the U11 Life
now has access to picture - in - picture, notification dots, Google's
Autofill API, etc..
Aside from that, videos
now support picture - in - picture mode, there is new emojis,
autofill for passwords has been improved, and boot times should be much better.
Similar to how Android has long supported third - party keyboards, users can
now choose a default password manager app with new
autofill APIs.
Moreover, Essential Phone owners can
now use fingerprint scanner gestures, temporarily remove individual notifications, smartly select text from anywhere, minimize background activity of apps they don't use, and access their favorite websites faster with
Autofill's new capabilities.
I've been using the built - in

now, and when logging into applications or websites, all of my credentials are automatically added for me so that I don't have to take the time to manually type in everything myself.
It's
now easier for applications to utilize the
autofill framework and a light navigation bar has been introduced, likely in an effort to prevent display burn - in or image retention on the phone's AMOLED panel.
