have two beautiful boys
now through
open adoptions.
The biggest change that I found, aside from the
open adoption, was that The Cradle
has now added classes — both online and on site — for adoptive parents.
So for me, since
open adoption was the start of my path and
now being on the other side with being able to see personal how
adoption has and
has not affected my son, I am very curious about others experience with
open adoption because I do wonder what
would have been different and
would have been the same
had my son's
adoption not closed when he was so young.

now 12 - year - old daughter and her adoptive family; essentially, I am mother, I
have a child, but I am not parenting.
I feel so blessed to
have her in my life
now and am happy that my son
has an
open adoption with his birth family.

now feel untrue — it's eye
opening to hear a completely different perspective, one that makes perfect sense once they're aware of it!

Now that her son Finn is four, Sharene, along with Finn's Dads Peter and Brady,
have a more evolved
open adoption story to tell.

have their own questions, concerns and dreams, and
now, they also
have their own clubhouse in which to explore them.

I think
open adoption started in the 80's, but it was new so moms in the 80's probably didn't
