I walk by the window, curtains open and turn off the light sneaking a peek at the beauty of this room — the chaos of this room and marvel at the chaos tidied up (for now).

Now there is a keen 13 - year - old little brother ready to step into the breach, and once again I find myself on the road to «Tidy your room... please don't speak to me like that... have you done your homework... put that phone down...» and so on.

We moved this cabinet from upstairs and it now function as a great place to store all the backpacks, sneakers, jackets and things that are brought in and out of the house every day but keeps the room still tidy looking because all the mess is hidden away.

So today I've been busy putting things to rights a little, although with my disability I can't do anywhere near as much as I want to do in a day, so it's likely to take me the best part of a week to get tidy again, but at least now it's going in the right direction, and to top things off, I now have a lovely fresh, newly painted room to enjoy when the tidying just gets too much for me.

Now, it is onto tidying this house and getting started on our Dining Room.

Yes, I like to keep it tidy because I work from home and I feel happier and more productive when things are tidy, but right now not a single room in my home looks as good as it does in these pictures.

Right now we are right in the middle of installing a shiplap accent wall in the dining room and also doing little bits of tidying up to the basement and garage so we actually have room to work on some of the projects!
