numbers of educated and caring people are

We linked those staggering
numbers with a 2014 study we discovered in Applied
Animal Behavior Science showing that the likelihood
of a shelter dog being
adopted increased significantly when they were observed playing.

adopt, check out your local
animal shelter or a
number of rescue organizations such as the Humane Society

of your dreams.

There are some great networks but until we get the
numbers of unwanted
animals down by more spaying and neutering and less breeding
of dogs and cats, etc. the need for a long - term facility that gives these
animals a quality
of life similar to Best Friends is necessary unless more people can foster these
animals because right now the reality is that some
of these dogs and cats are being fostered for years because they have one or two issues that keep them from being attractive to being
adopted.

The constant that emerged was a relative difference over time between the
number of animals entering shelters and the
number being returned to their owner or
adopted.
They try to solve this problem by encouraging or requiring people to spay or neuter their pets (to reduce the
number of cats and dogs who need homes), 57 encouraging people to
adopt animals from shelters rather than purchasing them from pet stores or breeders (to increase the

Even if you find a home for all members
of a litter, this takes away from the

number of animals adopted in these events would overwhelm any old - fashioned system that relied on extensive paperwork, background checks, and home visits.

Any time an
animal is
adopted, his cage should be immediately cleaned and a new
animal placed in that spot, so that at all times, there are the same
number of animals in view for your adopters.
When our shelters are empty because all
of the unwanted, unloved dogs in this country have been
adopted, and when the companies who manufacture gas chambers for
animal shelters have gone out
of business due to lack
of customers, then I would say maybe we could consider limited
numbers of dogs not being spayed, until then, it is the most absurd, downright stupid idea anybody who claims to love dogs, could possibly propose.
Within the past 5 years the

I can't imagine the

animals in this country that have missed the opportunity to be
adopted because we have accepted as fact belief systems that have no data whatsoever to back them up.
