airlines to choose from.
With Orbitz, for example, you can enter your
airline frequent flier membership
number at the time
of booking on the «traveler information» page.
The

airlines frequent flyer miles you'll need to redeem your ticket is the same regardless
of flight time.
You typically can add this information to the booking later once the gift has been given, but if you include their
frequent - flyer
number on the reservation it is quite likely that the flights will show up in their list
of upcoming trips in their
airline account and may even land in their inbox.
Redeem them as early and as often as possible since the
airlines continue to change the rules on the minimum
number of miles you need to redeem to get that
frequent flyer award ticket.
There really isn't anyone keeping an eye on the
airlines, and I'm sure countless
numbers of Frequent Flyers call to use their miles and are overcharged every day.
