Kent's education chief has called for grammar schools to open in other counties after figures revealed
numbers of pupils coming from outside Kent.
A large
number of these pupils come from disadvantaged backgrounds; the proportion of these pupils leaving school with strong qualifications has risen from 27.5 per cent to 32,9 per cent, equivalent to 7,150 pupils.

Although both the
number of school employees and expenditures per
pupil have risen steadily for many decades, that trend has
come to an end.
Perhaps the best evidence
comes from a recent study in Minnesota, which estimated that increasing the
number of instructional days from 175 to 200 would cost close to $ 1,000 per student, in a state where the median per -
pupil expenditure is about $ 9,000.

pupil projections show that both state primary and secondary
pupil numbers are expected to continue to grow over the
coming years, with the

pupils aged up to 15 years projected to increase by 320,000 (11.4 %) by 2021 and to continue to grow until 2025.
Opponents have hamstrung school - choice programs at every turn: fighting voucher programs in legislative chambers and courtrooms; limiting per -
pupil funding so tightly that it's impractical for new schools to
come into being; capping the
number of charter schools; and regulating and harassing them into near conformity with conventional schools.
When ranked on the average point score - the average

came out top.
The findings
come as the UTC project flounders: seven have closed or announced they will do so because
of low
pupil numbers and financial issues.
What's more, the daunting challenge
of matching teacher supply with demand will only become more acute in the
coming years as a result
of rising
pupil numbers.
This year's focus on public schools, which includes $ 649 million in new per -
pupil funding,
comes after three budgets that cut or froze public school spending, and expanded the
number of families who could enroll children in private schools through taxpayer - funded vouchers.
It
comes after a war
of words erupted between the Conservatives and Labour earlier this year after Labour announced plans to restrict the
number of pupils per class, something the Tories claim to already be doing.
This idea

Schools are facing serious budget pressures over the

North Carolina's school funding allotment, which is based partially on the
number of pupils, is complicated, but a directive that emerged from the Senate side
of the legislature during this year's budget negotiations
came with a simple message: Make classes smaller.

The warning
comes after Schools Week reported some trusts have high
numbers of pupils moving to studio schools and UTCs before year 11, resulting in better GCSE outcomes for the schools they left behind.

Hi I'm really worried about my 22week old puppy, after her walk yesterday we noticed her left
pupil was alot larger than the right one and she has blue eyes but the colour almost disappeared aswell, and it looked red and swollen, we thought she'd maybe got something in her eye as it did return back to normal after a short time, then the same thing happened twice again after her walks today, I took her to see a vet this afternoon at the time Bella was and looked perfectly fine, and she looked in her eyes with a torch said everything looked ok and that she didn't have any ideas and
come back if I got a photo
of the eye then charged # 40, but after googling the symptoms it seems it could be a
number of things, im not very confident in going back to this vet, and im worried sick.
