numbers than their white peers, according to research released by The Equity Project at Indiana University.

numbers show that even when blacks are successful in attending and completing college, they're still less likely to be gainfully employed
than their
white peers, hinting that less education isn't the entire problem, and that attempts to boost educational attainment figures among blacks won't be the entire solution.
While the
number of students who are expelled or sent home for misbehaving in D.C. public schools and public charter schools has decreased overall, recent findings show that black students are nearly seven times more likely to be suspended
than their
white peers.
