nut butters, I wouldn't actually recommend making
nut butters in the vitamix.

Hi Karla, I would recommend using a strong magimix for things like
nut butters and any recipes containing dates as these can be quite tough on the food processor.
You do get what you pay for, as the stronger your machine is the easier it will be to use and you'll be able to make smoother hummus, better pesto, proper
nut butters and great raw treats.
i just bought your book and i would love to make
nut butters / hummus /....
It does take longer to blend, the ingredients don't come out as smooth, it struggles with
nut butters and the base is smaller so you can't blend as much at once but it does really work!
However, I'm worried it won't be sturdy enough to make
nut butters and smooth raw cheesecakes??
Do you think the wattage is the most important criteria for making
nut butters and other heavy stuff?

nut butters too, they're so delicious but wait until you try them mixed — just heavenly!
I understand if it doesn't work for you though in my recipes I often use it for the specific sweetness or stickiness, so sometimes
nut butters (almond, cashew or tahini) can work as a substitute or other oils (olive) or other sticky beauties (dates, figs etc).
The food processor is great for a lot of the dessert recipes,
nut butters and hummus where as the blender is better for smoothies.
I can't find any food processors which mention
nut butters or breaking down hard objects such as nuts, so I'm finding it really difficult to make a decision on which one.

Hi Isabelle, you can» r really make the energy balls and
nut butters and hummus in the Vitamix as blenders need liquid to function where as a food processor doesn't.
Sadly food processor isn't up to making
nut butters and really creamy hummus so some things don't turn out perfect.

nut butters, engery bites and so on.
They do a» decortiquees sarrasin» which is buckwheat pieces which would work and raw cacao powder and all
the nut butters.

nut butters!
Hi Heidi, I find that
nut butters work so much better in a food processor as the Vitamix doesn't create that smooth and creamy texture, and often need a form of liquid to function too.
Next time I will try toasting the nuts; I have found that
nut butters are easier to get really smooth when I toast them first.

nut butters in a blender as blenders often need liquid in order to function.
I'm really sorry but I haven't tried the other versions of the Magimix but I imagine that they would be able to make
the nut butters.
