the nutrition labels on products before you buy them and ditch the foods that have a high sodium content like canned foods, soups, frozen foods, condiments, and seasonings.
The way you do it is by reading
the nutrition label on every product you buy and learn how many calories you are consuming exactly, because calories ingested from liquids won't make you feel full and stave off your cravings.
Reading

nutrition battle by reading ingredient
labels on all pet food
products.
Consumers and retailers must carefully check
labels to ensure these
products deliver
on their promise of providing natural
nutrition.
