I would typically leave the top plain and simple, or
garnish with
nuts as Ina suggested, but when baking with a 4 year old, it's all about the sprinkles.
Adding a fat such
as lightly toasted and chopped
nuts can also be a flavor - enhancing
garnish to round out a finished recipe.
