oats recipe so here's my latest concoction... Orange, Coconut & Vanilla!

The secret to this
recipe being
so easy and speedy is that we soak the
oats in boiling water for ten minutes, during this time you can get dressed and ready for the day while the
oats soften perfectly.
Also, since
oats don't seem to work for my digestion and skin, I am
so happy to see buckwheat
recipes on your blog!

oats as well but like you I never really get around to prepare them the night before
so this
recipe is perfect for me!

so it's been a challenge, but it looks like most of your
recipes don't contain any of these — even the
oats (although I realise some do) I get
so fedup with people telling me he needs to eat meat just because he's allergic to all of these things and I've been muddling along but generally struggle with yummy meals to suit the whole family — these look like heaven, I'm

Mine's also totally gluten free as most of these types of
recipes use
oats,
so I've moved to brown rice flour to make it easier for you all.
I couldn't find sunflower seeds,
so just went with the
recipe as posted (substituted some of more expensive ingredients — honey for maple syrup, different type of date), but will use suggestion of upping
oats next time to see how it goes.
I have run out of
oats so this morning tried to make this
recipe with oat bran instead of
oats.

so I added and changed up some things: 1 / 2c honey -LCB- fresh from a hive upstate -RCB-, a handful of
oats, a couple dashes of ground ginger, 1/2 as much butter -LCB- unsalted -RCB-, with some walnut oil to compensate, and some extra burbon.

I love using quinoa flakes but they do have a different texture and flavor than
oats, and quinoa flakes are quick cooking
so sometimes it makes the
recipe work differently.

So for added nutrition, I rather nervously thought I'd create a muffin
recipe using wholemeal spelt and
oats, some of the pumpkin butter I made back along, Rapadura rather than sugar and of course, chia seeds.
The
recipe also calls for 2 tablespoons of fine oatmeal for sprinkling on top, I didn't have any to hand and didn't want to buy a bag just for two tablespoons
so I just popped 2 tablespoons of the rolled
oats in my coffee grinder and 5 seconds later hey presto!
A lot of the sweeter
recipes have rolled
oats in them, which is no surprise really considering they are Scottish but I like
oats so that's always a good starting point, picking a
recipe where the main ingredient is appealing.
Steel cut
oats don't work very well for homemade granola
so for all of these
recipes use old fashioned
oats if it doesn't specify that.

recipe again and measure it out myself to know the exact grams amount
so I've googled some numbers and it would approximately be — 30g
oats, 85g cashews, 190g apricots, 70g shredded coconut.

so I'll keep it simple here.
Several months ago I made Flourless Banana Berry Muffins from
oats instead of flour and I really like them,
so I went back to that
recipe for inspiration and used old fashioned
oats ground in the blender in place of flour.
