Oats: When I first started making overnight oatmeal I read a
recipe wrong and picked up steel cut
oats (when they had said NOT to use steel cut
oats).
It is hotter than heck here in Houston, so I am planning
on making a few overnight
oats recipes this week and can not wait to try yours.
This particular overnight
oats recipe starts with a basic
oats - and - chia base and then I topped it with a sweet strawberry - rhubarb compote and an oat - and - seed crumble that are both made in minutes
on the stovetop.
The
recipe also calls for 2 tablespoons of fine oatmeal for sprinkling
on top, I didn't have any to hand and didn't want to buy a bag just for two tablespoons so I just popped 2 tablespoons of the rolled
oats in my coffee grinder and 5 seconds later hey presto!

I sometimes grind the steel cut
oats in the Ninja to make a more fine, creamy texture and it reduces cook time
on the stove top... can or should I not use this ground steel cut

on using gluten free
oats (clues in the name), but there are a small percentage of people diagnosed with Coeliac Disease that may still be sensitive to certified GF
oats, and therefore can't eat them.

OATS recipe is the yummiest, it has some many delicious flavors going
on, is super creamy because of the banana and the butter, and the richest flavor coming from the cocoa work incredibly well with the ginger, just love it!
Although meatloaf is usually bulked up with
oats or bread crumbs, this
recipe relies
on zucchini and added fat from bacon to achieve the same texture.
Using the basic
