In
Practical Obedience Level II, we create a higher level of reliability for all the obedience skills, with a focus on true «loose leash» walking and impulse control.
This
advanced obedience level will teach you how to train behaviors in the presence of distractions, with duration, and from a distance.
Again, food rewards are not necessary every time the owner asks the dog to sit or stay but occasional food rewards will help keep its interest and
obedience levels high.
Teach your dog basic manners such as polite greetings and life skills like name recognition and eye contact with this
basic obedience level training.
Argus has earned his Canine Good Citizen as well as an APDT
Rally Obedience level 1 title with an Award of Excellence.
There is also an increasing acknowledgment that, even where the standard for admission of an animal is its qualification as a service animal, such animals may not always have to be trained, at least beyond a
basic obedience level.

To complete Sirius K9 Academy's Basic
Obedience Level (and receive a certificate if in our basic group class) and move on to our Intermediate Obedience Level, your dog must be able to perform the following exercises using only VOICE COMMANDS (hand signals are not permitted and you can not point, snap your fingers, repeat commands, or bend over, etc., at any time during the test.)
