Mode is Sledgehammer Games» attempt at an
objective -
focused mode that combines various
objectives spread out across different phases of a map.
I can appreciate what Ubisoft is going for here with Rainbow Six Siege; they're trying to make a tactical shooter that
focuses on close - quarters combat, teamwork, and
objective - based game
modes.
With the
focus shifted towards specific
objectives, these
modes are great for competitive players seeking a more traditional challenge that's not as reliant on passively inking turf.
Arena
mode provides a range of
objective focused challenges to participate in single player in which the player must complete their
objective; despite only having five lives and no continues.
There is also the return of Pro Career, Grand Prix and Time Trial
modes in single player accompanied by fully customisable online multiplayer for between 2 to 20 players in which players earn XP for completing a range of
objectives to level up their driver and competitive Time Trial
focused online leaderboards throughout all 20 tracks from the 2017 season and 4 short circuits, while further customisation comes in the form of the time of day editor, driver proficiency and driver A.I. difficulty levels that will collectively have fans of F1 as a motorsport and in gaming coming back for more for quite some time.
Arena delivers the pure competitive Halo experience, with a variety of deathmatch and
objective - based
modes that
focus on skill by starting all players out with the same weapons and equipment.
The
focus of Tour
mode has you participating in race after race that have three stars for you to earn, which vary from straight up races and time trials to other
objective based missions, such as ones
focusing on drifting.
Battlefront's Walker Assault
mode works so well because it's tightly
focused with only two active
objectives at any time and a semi-linear map.
It is more of an
objective -
focused mode where you need to work alongside your teammates and select your team composition accordingly.
The
modes change the
focus from eliminating enemy pilots to
objective based matches such as killing AI enemies in order to gain bounties that have to be deposited at a bank as well as capturing and holding a hardpoint.
The new War
mode is definitely the most unique game type you'll find in the multiplayer, with a
focus on team - based,
objective play.
In addition to refining the
focus of the subject (as was the main
objective of Portrait Camera
mode), live measurements will allow the ISP to affect the light on the contours of the face, even on the viewfinder in real time.
