I can honestly say from my years of
observing other people and their dogs that as much as there are not enough dog owners for all the dogs in the world, I think it's even worse to see someone with a dog who doesn't know how to care for it properly.
Then, during the multiple - phase test, the
dog is put in a variety of situations that mimic busy hospital entrances
and reception desks,
and observe to see how they handle crowds of
people, chaotic environments,
and being around
other dogs.
Requires a
dog be returned if the owner can not keep Takes ownership of a
dog upon intake Requires a home visit before adoption approval if the
person has not owned a
dog or if there are issues with application Follows up with adopters after placement
Dogs are observed and evaluated before adoption All dogs receive all vaccines (Rabies, DHLPP and any other regionally appropriate tests) before adoption All dogs have all tests (heartworm, fecal and other regionally appropriate tests) before adopt
