i have been on a bit of a health kick lately... (you would never know it by those s'mores brownies i posted, but hey - its all about balance) and have been
obsessing over these energy bites or power balls or protein bites or whatever else you want to call them.

You will lose weight only when you stop
obsessing over the weighing machine, get hold of a thoroughly enjoyable activity and start visualizing food as a source of
energy rather than something that keeps you from getting bored or feeds your emotions.
It's not worth getting fancy metabolic testing or
obsessing over the «perfect» formula for calculating your
energy needs.
I wouldn't
obsess over exact ratios of carbs, protein, or fats either... your body needs all 3 for different reasons... protein as the building blocks of muscle; carbs for muscle glycogen,
energy during the workouts, and insulin response post-workout; and healthy fats to help maximize your muscle building hormones.
Spend the excess
energy making sure that you will eat and sleep the right amount every day, this will help you grow so much better than
obsessing over routines and supplements.
I can control the effort I put out, but can't control what the universe gives back to me... so I set limits on the
energy that I put out and try not to
obsess over the results.
